This is the 2nd episode of our new format whereby we split our TV/Movie show and our Gaming show. So far, all the feedback we received from our listeners on this split has been positive. This is the TV/Movie show branded In Our Queue. This week we completely burned out on new movie watching and all just watched TV shows. Movies are expense and outside is hot. So what’s shorter than a movie?
In Our Queue: We’re mourning the passing of Chester Bennington and George Romero. We follow up on our promise to watch Friends from College on Netflix and we all united with similar opinions on the show. Twowolvzz gives his take on HBO’s documentary The Defiant Ones then Cajun updates and improves his opinion of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. Last but not least, Damian updates us on plot advances in The Mist series.
Hype Train: This week rolls out of Disney’s D23 conference with opinions on all the relevant reveals. We give our take on the first female Dr in Doctor Who history. We round out with four movie trailers that dropped last week.
Wow! 3 podcasts in a week! That’s right fellow geeks we are on podcast number 3 of this week with Geekologist Radio: Game On – “Games of the Golden Throne”. In this podcast we bring you what we have been playing the last week, pertinent current news and of course our gaming Hype Train!
Game On: Chris leads us off with Cave Story+ the Nintendo Switch platformer, we also discuss a huge move by Logitech (psst it may include Astro headsets). We’re also touching on Crap Games. You know, games you enjoy in the crapper. Cajun tells us about his new mobile crapper time killer Realm Defense, not to be outdone Damian brings his golden throne app to the cast with The Last Day on Earth: Survival and ending the segment with a little advice on how to save some coin when making purchases in Marvel Heroes Omega on Xbox One (should work the same way on PS4 but it is not confirmed by the cast at this point).
Hype Train: First stop Destiny 2 info what to expect from the Beta, Chris tosses some salt with Mario Odyssey being coin based and not life based. What Remains of Edith Finch – Coming to Xbox Chris talks a bit more on his time with the developers and his strong suggestion to make this your next indie title, D23 to show Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer focusing on new world, Read Dead 2 Rumored delay reasons and last stop we have Warframe going Open World! Cajun brings us a new series with The Handmaid’s Tale, Damian talks a bit more in depth about the Shutter Island like film A Cure for Wellness. Castlevania the Series took the cast by storm… a bloody storm of Vampyric beauty and masterful animation. Wiping the gips from the Belmont whip we get into the in depth spoiler review of SpiderMan: Homecoming. Looking to the future of what’s coming to our TV’s, streaming devices and the silver screen?
The Hype Train: Amazon’s Tick trailer drops with an updated Tick costume with built in Hero chin. True Detective Season 3 finds its Lead, Not wasting any time Wonder Woman 2 announces its setting… Psst it might involve a lot of neon. Last but not least Quentin Tarantino is making Kill Bill Vol 3 and a movie about Charles Manson! Hope you all enjoy the change up and be sure to reach out to us with critiques and comments!
That’s right folks someone call M. Night Shyamalan, Mr. Glass is at it again. The train may have derailed consistently but the news, reviews and strong suggestions on shows and games remained steady with special guest hosts Remy Ransom and Tinkkz from My Morning Coffee, My Evening Beverage and Bombshell Jackets joining the fray along with Geoff Barry co-creator of a yet unannounced Geekologist Radio show, and filling in the final roster we have Foutz and introducing Mrs. Foutz AKA Double Tap Tiff leaving Damian Nash to try run the show, good luck on that too. Deadpool, The Toolman Taylor somehow becomes a thing. Just to let you know how derailed this episode gets.
In Our Queue (4:21): Original R2-D2 sells, Netflix original film Okja gets some love, Riverdale Season 1 gets reviewed, Damian gives his take on Transformers: The Last Knight, and Life with Foutz ending the segment with Despicable Me 3.
Game On (41:35): We’re going heavy into Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer where Remy talks seasons and more. Maybe more than he should have, meanwhile, The Division jumps onto the tracks pulling a couple of MIA Agents heartstrings. Damian talks about the console launch of Marvel Heroes Omega closing out the segment.
Hype Train (1:13:34): There’s a Bumble Bee Spinoff film in the works. Talks of a Deadwood movie. Then out of nowhere the train derails yet again with all the comic talk you didn’t know you wanted to hear! You know you love a good comic book discussion!
The Foutz is back! I feel like this should be the title of an epic space opera involving twins or something….Wait…. The General has informed me that’s been done already. Let’s ready your Sprawling wall of text as we welcome you to this week’s episode- Error and Omissions. We had more than couple this week (pssst Tara Reid has 8 movies coming this year, Damian!)
