What are we doing when we do an episode of Geekologist Radio, and what it’s really about. The simple answer is: We are discussing the things in modern geek culture that are important to us. As purveyors of many different forms of entertainment, we hope our opinions and reviews give our listeners the insight they need to pick their next movie or TV show to watch or game to play. We have a few different segments that involve topics for just about any geek in each episode, and we hope you’ll enjoy our journey exploring the new media we find. So get ready to jump In Our Queue as we explore what we’ve been watching, Game On with us as we play and discuss popular video games, and get your tickets ready to board The Hype Train where we discuss future releases in TV, Movies, & Video Games!

In Our Queue: Apparently we all float down here this week as In Our Queue starts out with Norsemen streaming now on Netlfix, Ripper Street keeps up the drama in London after the rash of Jack the ripper killings start to die down… or do they?, Damian does his best to go spoiler free with his review of the IT film while Paul talks about American Horror Story: Cult… of Clowns? I swear a circus must have got blown down the drain or something… Pulling ourselves out of the sewers Paul talk phallic objects with Netflix Original: American Vandal. Wait so we went from the sewers to the gutter?
Hype Train: Our first stop with IT: Chapter 2 in case you didn’t have enough clowns on your plate Damian talks the plans for the next chapter and why we should be hyped for what is to come to lil town of Derry. Next stop we have not one but two separate series coming based off the Jumper novels (Who knew this could be thing we would actually be excited for? Listen to know why). 3rd stop on the Hype train takes us to the Isle of Dogs and yes you want to visit this trash island to experience the star studded cast coming to theatres soon. We have takes from those new to Destiny with Nick the Aironickbullet himself with his Geekologist debut, The veterans take the stage with Chris “Twowolvzz” bringing the Titan smash while Cajun goes full General on the story and team mechanics with the likes of Geoff Barry and Damian Nash bringing up the rear covering the onslaught of Fallen and Hive Thralls. As you can probably tell we are all under Bungie’s spell with the new iteration into our Guardian’s tales of how we became known as Legend. Join us as we discuss our favorite pieces of this game along with our frustrations and all the Hype that has lead to this.
PAX is notorious for somethings, a joke Pox that turns out to be real and a lot of game related news. Good thing we’re changing your normally scheduled Game On to do a special of our own reporting on PAX West. With the crew there they’re going over all the things that they really enjoyed. Listen in as Silver, Cajun & Damian gab all the gab about PAX.
Cajun and Damian switch it up a little bit this week. Instead of your normally scheduled In Our Queue, they decided to talk about their thoughts on Netflix’s Defenders. You’ve heard of it, most of you have been chomping at the bit for it. A lot of you out there binge watched it in a single sitting and somehow forgetting to eat snacks or go to the bathroom. Your panel of geeks for the evening spend their time diving into the catacombs of The Hand and finding out where the other stand alone Marvel titles will lead them. Will the Defenders as a whole end up being Defendable? Find out on this week’s Geekologist Radio.
It’s a short(er) one this week folks! Colin brings out American Gladiators as his topic of choice this week and there’s warm reception all around. Who doesn’t remember way larger and built Gladiators doing battle with their usually more frail competitors? Giant medicine balls, tennis ball launchers and The Wall? This episode we go over the mostly rad 80s/90s names the gladiators had and even a one shot gladiator here and there. The crew also discusses the strange phenomenon of how no one knows the original time slot.. It’s a mystery to us all. Get ready to compete and win this week on GeekSquatch!
