Recorded on Thursday, November 09 2017
Mulehorn Gaming Website
Hosts: Wade, Alex and Kurt
This week, we’re diving head-first into Star Wars and, by proxy, EA Games. We have received confirmation that there will be a new Star Wars trilogy (duh) after Episode 9. Director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson, will be responsible for carrying the torch. It appears we’ve gotten a clue as to Thrawn surviving his appearances in Star Wars Rebels, the animated series. EA has recently purchased Respawn studios, known for the Titanfall series. We discuss what this means for Star Wars fans, and how it is connected to the recent closure of Visceral. It’s being reported that Xbox now wants to focus their attention on acquiring and developing first-party titles. Is it too little, too late?
Your submissions for Shots Fired get us gabbing about Overwatch and eSports, Destiny 2 and its subclasses, Mass Effect, Battlefront 2, and more.

13 original Xbox titles have finally made it to the backwards compatibility program on Xbox One. We’ll quickly go over the games, and Wade delves a bit further into one particularly well-loved classic making a return. Hint: It’s Star Wars. Recently, Phil Spencer and Shannon Loftis of Xbox have commented on the current state of single player games. The Mules share thoughts on our gaming ecosystem and how single-player titles can still fit in. Destiny 2 has officially launched on the PC, and with it comes the predictably juicy news of data miners sharing their bounties. We’ll talk briefly about some of the contents of one such mining report, as well as some of the changes Bungie is bringing to Destiny 2 according to the recent This Week at Bungie.
Your submissions for Shots Fired ask us about our favorite weapons, gaming setups, tearjerkers, and comparing Destiny 2 with Destiny 1.

October is still going strong this week as we talk a bit about Wolfenstein II, releasing Oct 27th. We also took a quick Twitter poll to gauge excitement for various activities as Oct 27 is going to be a busy day! Keyboard and mouse support is headed to the Xbox One, and one manufacturer is already selling Xbox-compatible hardware. We dive into our thoughts regarding KBM users in a console environment. Visceral games, formerly of Dead Space fame, was responsible for producing a mysterious new release in EA’s Star Wars line-up. With Amy Hennig (Uncharted) leading the team, a very promising game was to be in store. Now, Visceral is closing their doors and the game is going through some major changes, including the development team. We discuss EA’s response to the bold move and share some of our thoughts on what this means for the Star Wars title.
Your submissions for Shots Fired get us just hot and bothered about microtransactions, the shortcomings of Destiny 2, Halloween and horror games, and Cuphead.

This week, we’re diving helmet-first into Mordor and talking about Shadow of War! MulehornGaming.com contributor and gaming bud, NateJohns is our special guest. He’ll be taking us through some of his initial impressions of Shadow of War, explaining several of the in-game systems and experiences. Naturally, the inclusion of microtransactions in Shadow of War has been a point of some controversy. They’re also present in another new title, Star Wars Battlefront II. We discuss microtransactions as a trend in gaming, and whether they belong in single-player games, multiplayer games, and mobile titles. The latest teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi appeared recently. With it, I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror… I kid. But, the internet is having a heyday with some of the scenes in the trailer, including what some consider to be spoilers for The Last Jedi. We’re going to dish on how we liked the teaser trailer, and then dig in to some of our concerns and points of interest.
Your submissions for Shots Fired cover mostly Destiny 2 and Star Wars, with a bit of 90’s nostalgia and superhero discussion.

7 – Destiny 2: Gaming Parents, MIDA & More
Recorded on Saturday, September 21 2017
Mulehorn Gaming Website
Hosts: Wade, Alex and Kurt
A recent article claimed that being a parent made it “practically impossible” to play Destiny 2. We as gaming parents disagree, and flesh out our opinions on the subject. A number of exotic weapons and armor pieces made the jump from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2. Is this too much? The MIDA Multi-Tool is the most used weapon in Trials of the Nine as well as normal PvP. Does that mean it’s overpowered? Factions are coming back to Destiny. Bungie just released some information about the event, Faction Rallies, and we’re here to share what we know and what we think of it. Also, we take turns discussing the histories and guiding principles of the three major factions in Destiny. Which one will you choose?
Your submissions for Shots Fired ask us about balancing gaming with the demands of life, our top 5 lists, missing creature comforts in Destiny 2, and the Nintendo Switch.
