What exactly is The Fluxcast? The Fluxcast might be about video games why not, right? Isn’t every podcast about video games nowadays? It’s a major form of media and a viable example of how we all enjoy wasting our free time. In fact the hosts of this show consume media in the same way you probably do and love to discuss it for your amusement. So does that mean this show is about everything and anything? You could assume as much but we like to think of it as friends across both sides of the pond just chatting. With the occasional euphemism misunderstood by one another due to geographic locations it makes for a fun time. We do love a good e-mail when they’re sent to firstname.lastname@example.org though. Feel free to write in!
Welcome back to the not new and only marginally improved FluxCast. What marginal improvements have James and Paul done in the last month you ask? The answer is add segments to the pod. What are the segments and what do we discuss in them? Well listen on and find out.
To paraphrase Gloria Gaynor: Oh yes we’re back from outer space, you just looked in your podcast delivery service and saw this episode here and that smile came across your face…
We here at The FluxCast understand that Netflix can be a confusing and overwhelming place, and that is why we have decided to do this public service episode. We’re going to do a round of Netflux n Chill, get it? Should you watch Glow? How about the Defenders? Well listen on and find out as your hosts help you make decisions based on their time spent viewing. Is it really a review show or an influencing show? Will James and Paul do another Fluxcast? Are they just making idle threats?! You’ll never really know for sure, unless you listen!
Whilst James and Paul may have been being their usual inconsistent selves, geek culture has not. So prepare your ears for a round up of the things that the duo remember, which in this case seems to be mostly Marvel based. Marvelously Marvel based! Some examples are the recent reveal of Cable from Deadpool 2 and his not at all convoluted history, the, at the time, upcoming Defenders series on Netflix and where the characters all begin. There is a slight somber note though, this may be the last episode of The FluxCast in its current form however keep an eye on your feed as James and Paul will return.
In case the title didn’t give it away, James and Paul are not alone on this week’s episode. The duo are joined by the one the only The Bentrick, one of the hosts of Ninjapancake’s flagship podcast Warlock School. Why is Bentrick present you ask? Well to make a long story shot, with Bungie releasing the Destiny 2 beta there seemed like no better time really. The man does a Destiny podcast come on! Anyway sit back, open your earholes and enjoy.
What’s that?! An alliteration in the title? E3 Extravaganza? That is definitely a signal for a good time. Join the dynamic duo of hosts, James and Paul, as they dissect E3 2017. Going conference by conference almost each and every game will at least be mentioned, not discussed but mentioned. Please don’t blame them though, it’s not their fault they are biased. Ok, it actually could be their faults that they are biased but no one is really holding a grudge about it. Unless you’re the editor of this post who had to add a few more words to increase the episode’s SEO.
